Is Unique Ness part of New Start Highland?
Unique Ness is the sister furniture brand of New Start Highland, transforming community donations into one-of-a-kind, truly distinctive pieces. All furniture is crafted in-house and is available for purchase at various New Start Highland locations across the Highlands.
Who creates the Unique Ness furniture?
The Unique Ness team is led by three talented artisans, Sam, Scott and Patrick who guide the brand’s creative vision. Our workshops are open to anyone who may be facing challenges in life or simply wants to develop new skills. Working alongside our artisans, individuals learn how to transform pre-loved furniture into entirely new, one-of-a-kind pieces. When you purchase a piece from Unique Ness, you’re not just taking home beautifully crafted furniture, you’re supporting a journey of personal growth, creativity and transformation.
How much from my purchase goes towards New Start Highland?
100% of the profits from Unique Ness sales are reinvested back into New Start Highland’s charitable services.
What are your opening times?
Eastgate Shopping Centre, Inverness: Tuesday-Saturday 9.30-5.
New Start Highland, Carsegate Road, Inverness: Monday-Saturday 9-5 and Sunday 10-4.
New Start Highland, Dingwall High Street: Monday-Saturday 9-5.
New Start Highland, Nairn High Street: Monday-Saturday 9-5.
Can I buy your products online?
Yes, we currently offer a click and collect service across our full product line. Simply add the product to your basket, select pick-up and you can collect your item from the designated store the following day, subject to store opening hours.
What is your returns policy?
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. To start a return, you can contact us at donate@newstarthighland.org. Please provide your order number, name and address. If your return is accepted, we will organise for the item to be collected.
